The ultimate way to identify who your dream clients are.

The simple and easy way: Imagine that you are talking to your dream client over a latte. We will just call our imaginary client, Sophia, to make it simple. Sophia is spilling her heart over her coffee. What her hopes and dreams are and what is keeping her stuck and how she wishes to get unstuck. If only someone had something to help her get there. 

You light up! Not only do you have just the perfect thing, but you could talk about it for three straight hours and you can barely breathe because you know you are about to transform her life. What do you tell her? What did she need? How will you help? That is how you decide who you help and with what.

However, it is not always as simple as that. I want to give you THE ultimate guide to identify your dream client and then craft the type of language and content that will not only attract them, but convert them into a loyal paying customer who will absolutely rave about you and your services.

Why is it so challenging to speak to the right person in your copy?

If you are speaking to everyone, you are speaking to no one. I am sure you've heard this before. Yet, it is incredibly difficult to speak to just one person. Instinctively, we want to help as many people as we can. Separating your need to appease everyone from your marketing copy starts with looking deep into yourself. Understanding what you ultimately want is a great way to begin. It might be tempting to speak to the audience you already have, but it is more rewarding to touch hearts of only the people you ultimately want to be surrounded by. Address the client you want to end up with, even if she isn't currently listening. The only way to attract your dream client is by speaking directly to her. At first, you might get crickets, but as you get braver and your voice gets louder, she will hear you. You might lose some of the audience you have now when you speak to the one person you actually want to attract. This is for the best! 

How do you come up with the ultimate client avatar that is potent and is the answer to your business copy, blogs, website pages and even course material?

I am going to divide the following helpful content into three parts:

Part 1 is for the entrepreneur in you who believes that the dream client you help is a version of yourself in a journey deeply connected to the one where you overcame challenges, connected to truths, found your way, and made it your life's mission to turn around and extend the same opportunity to your Sophia.

Part 2 is for the service based business owner who provides a luxury experience to dream clients looking for a one of a kind service that will ultimately solve an immediate or lasting problem at hand, satisfy a need, or take care of a situation. We will call your client, Ashley.

Whether you book Sophias or Ashleys (or both!), you are positioned as the helpful guide, the sidekick to your client hero's story. The one who is guiding your Sophia or Ashley to glory. Do not forget that your website and your copy is meant to ultimately help or serve your client. Very little of your business website will be about you and the majority will be talking directly to your clients biggest desires, NOT their pain points.

Part 3 explores how you can use a thought provoking chatGPT prompt to craft the beginning on your client avatar which you will keep filling up with keywords, desires and love just like you would if she were a real live and breathing person.

I highly recommend, having a place where you keep information pertaining to your dream client and everything else that you learn which will help you transform your website into a powerful booking machine. Get organized right away and add to it as you go.

Part 1: How to attract your dream clients who are a version of you.

If your ideal client, Sophia, is on a similar or same journey as yourself, it's best to speak to an advanced, purpose driven, big goal setting version of YOU. Do not make the mistake of talking to your client as a first grader who doesn't yet know what she wants or is reluctant to take the steps to get there.

Speak to client desires and empower them.

Nobody wants to hang out in the kiddie pool. Even the newbies. Speak to Sophia's "I am ready" moment. The pivotal moment in her life when she has already decided to make big changes and advancements in her life and requires your assistance to help her get there. Ultimately Sophia has giant goals and desires and she is ready to do the work. She may not know it yet, but when she comes across what you are offering as a service, she can feel her blood pumping through her veins. She is lit up with excitement. She feels heard and deeply understood. Let your client imagine, morph and stretch a little. She is excited for the journey of transformation and is looking for just the thing to save her the time and trouble of figuring it all out for herself. She is interested in your high ticket service. You are to speak to her empowerment, dreams, hopes and aspirations.

Examples of content that attract an empowered dream client.

Let's do an example of what a Pinterest graphic that stops Sophia in her tracks looks like. Pinterest graphic title: "10 Ways To Calm Anxiety And Wake Up To A Joyful New Self". Maybe your service is coaching women to prioritize joy in their life. Likely, your Sophia already knows that it's time for her to choose herself. She is looking for someone to show up for her and guide her there. You could lead her to the same resource on your website with a pin that says "5 Mindset Shifts To Be The Empowered Joyful Woman You Are Meant To Be". Both of these titles speak to her desires and her hero's journey to the ultimate prize. Truly imagine your hero, deeply connect to her needs, her wants, her essence. Create from a place of love, compassion, empowerment and expertise. Love on your client. Paint her a picture of her future self already possessing everything she desires.

In order to be found, take it a step further and make sure that when you create blog content and pins for Sophia on your website and business Pinterest, you sprinkle plenty of keywords for your location (if your business relies on a physical address), your specialty, and trigger words for what your client might currently be looking up. What were you looking up during your own journey of transformation? What saved you? What brought you back to yourself? 

Speak to your client's "I am ready" moment.

You should not feel like you are convincing or begging your dream client to invest in you. Do not chase. Attract! Speak to the moment when a client decides that they are actively seeking help. She already knows that she needs a service to get her to the other side, into her future self. She just needs to know that you are the one who is going to get her there. I often start copy with "You are so ready to...", this reinforces that she is the one making the decision to go, and then I paint a picture of the transformation waiting on the other side and finish with a personal from and to story of my own journey.

How to begin making content for your ideal clients.

Do not overthink your content. It is best to start clumsily and imperfectly and add to it overtime. Just as your clients will learn who you are and how you can take them to the top; Google will piece together who you are, what you do, where and how you do it with each piece of the puzzle comprising the contents of your site and your blog. When it comes to search engine visibility, it is also best to follow best practices for SEO to ensure a speedy ranking and positioning.

Google loves a fresh and well kept blog. Continue to tweak and improve older content and consistently create new helpful blogs. And don't forget that business Pinterest makes for a great traffic funnel to your site!

Part 2: How to attract your dream clients who are looking for the exact service you provide using SEO strategies and common sense.

Let's consider Ashley - a dream client who is looking for an immediate (and/or a lasting) solution to her specialized situation. This is a desire or need for something she is not able to satisfy herself. You come in as the expert and provide the very solution to her problem. Sometimes it can be as straight forward as: Ashley types a search in Google for a service and your website pops up. Especially if it is a location based service and you are registered on Google. Example: "Hot Yoga in Palm Valley". Easy! But often it is not that simple. The desire can be a final outcome "How to elope in Bend".

Do some social listening.

I recommend doing some social listening and getting yourself into groups or social situations where people like Ashely hang out. This can be Facebook groups, for example. Also, you can go around and ask past clients or fellow business owners what kinds of things Ashley wishes she had when she first began her search. 

Dig around and go on a treasure hunt.

Another amazing strategy to find out exactly what your dream clients search for and where you need to live on Google is by going to Google search and typing in a few things Ashley might be looking for and taking note of what comes up, especially in the "People Also Ask" area. I like to keep account of this very useful information. I just LOVE digging around and being nosey.

See what's trending.

Did you know Pinterest has a "Trends" area? This is a fantastic way to find out what is trending across the world of search. Use the filter tools to find out what your Ashley might be browsing on Pinterest and get ahead of the competition by creating content you KNOW is going to get some attention before. Example: Christmas Pins in November because you know people will be getting ready for the holidays soon.

Ashley is searching for the exact thing that you provide and it is your job to be found. And booked.
